Krishnan Kartha 's answer was : " Only when the practical life becomes less practical in the real sense, one starts to look around awfully at the meaning of existence.Till then the so called practical life allures the mind with its colours and fancies,that one possibly get the feeling that that is real.
About being bound to a framework. This is also relative. Those who believe that they are bound ,are bound.Those who feel that they are relieved , are liberated.The bondage is something which we create ourselves thanks to the ignorance on th...e truth about a really practical life.Here I would like to say that life is like a swimming pool.A person trained in swimming consider it as a pass-time or leisure while one unaware of it suffers and sometimes terminates himself.All the search for truth is aimed at finding out the possibilities to celebrate the life which is very rear and precious.We have a chance here and now.We cannot waste this chance.Make the best use of it in the right way. Here by using the word "right way" I am not referring to a biblical morality.The right way means the way which does not give you any stress now or in future.Seers have searched for this 'right,optimum way'.They brought out their conclusions in their own language,having footing on their own experiences on the search. Though the result is identical, the language was different and hence the variety of religions and schools.One who goes deep into the meanings of what these seers have accumulated in their works,beyond the peripheral outlook, will see that the same truth is depicted in numerous manners.So long as one attains this harmony and unity, he/she needs interrogation,inquiry," Swaadhyaya",etc. Discussions is part of these.The pain we bear in searching and understanding the truth, is as great as labor pain a mother experiences.Here the child is wisdom which will not only make the mother but all around happy.Hence discussions are of paramount importance.In a way it is "MATHANA" the churning for the truth. The field of wisdom is created therin and everyone part takes in it.
