On Meditation : Observation of breath to Mindfulness : Question by Sreenath

Sreenath R posted on January 12, 2015

Sir please help...
1. Can regular practicing of conscious breathing (can it be called dhyanam?) bring mindfulness?
2. You once told 'Dhyan or Tarpan' is the way, can it be practiced both simultaneously?
3. Is this 'mindfulness state' getting through Dhyan is same as 'blissful state'? Or whether 'blissful state' is above that?

Krishnan Kartha To Sreenath . Conscious breathing leads to contemplation and then to meditation. It will utlimately bring the 'mindfullness you are fond of'.

For the second question. Both meditation and love is possible. But naturally one has a taste. This is sometimes guided by a guru. However the finale comprises of both. If a person who claims to be a master preaches either of these and discourgaes the other, he is still an aspirant.! Sankara preached adwaitha, but he also installed idols in Kedar and Badri!!! why? The contradiction is the symptom of Total Awareness. They are in harmony and the viewers and critics are not!

For the third question ...The real mindfulness state is above the bliss. It is the state of Supreme Peace , the PRASAANTHI. It is a waveless situation. The CAUSAL state. Bliss contains waves. Where even a functional mind is a rarity. The blissful state is necessitates the presence of a functional mind.(not the mind which troubles you) hence it is more an astral state. The efforts happen in gross state , where both mind and body exist.
