Being Nearer and Dearer : Discussion on 4th August 2012
Yesterday (4th Aug 2012) during weekly sathsang a question at Madhuvanam Ashram q question was asked to krishnan kartha about behavior of persons moving closely with enlightened beings. The questioner pointed out that she has seen in many instances, that her Master simply ignores such mistakes when committed by people around him, while some others receive severe scolding from the master. Her question was whether there was discrimination or some other thing.
Krishnan Kartha said " Discrimination is always there. A master is the one who knows the proper use of discrimination better than others. But that discrimination is not on a casual basis. When we look from the perspective of equality or some ideas, we may feel there is discrimination. The fact has to be understood.
Kartha sir referred to a talk with Baiju on the previous day and related to some points.
He continued "You are relating to some incident where a person moves closely with the master disturbing him in someway
and the latter's reaction is no the same with everybody which does the same to him. First of all, you should realise that even to be near a Master itself, one should have good meritorious deeds. So first a person comes near a master utilising the merits he has acquired. But he/she may not be knowing for what purpose he is there. He is drawn to the master by unknown factors. Not recognizing the purpose for him being there,he starts to behave in his natural way. There may be ego game splayed even with master. This is known to master that the follower ( it is better to be called so) is behaving unknowingly and unintentionally. But it maybe awkward responses he is making in that presence. Now the master has two options.
One.He can react vehemently to the misdeeds or careless deeds of the follower and scold him. This will hurt the ego of the follower andit will burst with a blast. The ego will leave no stone unturned to convince that the follower's stance was correct. The master knows that such a blast will be more nasty and ugle and it willspoil the atmosphere further. So he adjusts with the deeds of the follower and keeps mum.
Two.whether forgiven or not, the action will have reaction. And the reaction is not something simple. This is also known to the master. So out of his ultimate compassion, the master may scold him left and right,in order to reduce the reactions. In fact, the master minimizes the consequences. The followers us their good karma for disturbing the master in many ways. When this is done, the bad karma which is accumulated in the master through his contacts will be flowing to the disturbing follower. This carried severe consequences. A master will always try to avoid this. So in both the ways what reveled is Master's compassion.
Fortunately I was kept at some distance by my Beloved Master,in spite of close movements at times. I am thankful to Him for that, since I didnt become ugly because of my unconscious behavior in that presence."
