Sir., I would like to know the trials of Soviet communists to engineer a perfect communist human being through esoteric Buddhist methods.
Krishnan Kartha Gleb Bokii, the chief Bolshevik cryptographer and one of the bosses of the Soviet secret police, embarked on a quest for Shambhala, in an attempt to merge Kalachakra-tantra and ideas of Communism in the 1920s.He was assisted by his writer friend Alexander Barchenko. It is believed that , in a secret laboratory affiliated with the secret police, Bokii and Barchenko also experimented with Buddhist spiritual techniques, trying to find a key to engineer perfect communist human beings. The Soviet Foreign Commissariate had sent its own expedition to Tibet in 1924 in connection with Bokli's proposal to retrieve the wisdom of Shambhala, a mythical or historical kingdom of wisdom
